Why can’t a member request an open shift?

Check that the shift is published and open, the member meets position or certification requirements, and their role permits pickup requests.

Can a published schedule be changed?

Yes. Published assignments can be edited or reassigned by separately authorized users, and the department can require a reason.

Scheduling → Availability. Saved patterns can be applied to a new period before the submission deadline.
